If 90% of the earth is water, and 80% is the ocean, why not use the waves as an energy source?
When wind blows across the surface of water, it creates waves. And the ocean could generate an estimated 20.000 MV of renewable, infinite energy with minimal environmental impact. Wave energy systems use the water’s movement to make electricity.
Considering that 37% of the population lives near the coasts, it could generate new job opportunities in remote areas. Although this type of energy is still being tested, some countries are already making lots of progress.
